NZRA appoints new Chief Executive
New Zealand Recreation Association (NZRA) President John Latimer has announced that Andrew Leslie has been appointed as the Association's new Chief Executive.
Leslie has had significant leisure industry experience having worked in various recreation roles in local government. Most recently he has been Manager of Tourism New Zealand's visitor information network i-site NZ.
Making the appointment announcement, Latimer explained "Andrew brings key skills to our organisation including strategic and business planning, marketing and building stakeholder relationships," adding that he looked forward to Leslie "leading NZRA in to the future."
He will take up his role on 25th October
Latimer went on the highlight that the 2011 NZRA Conference 'Recreation - we've got it covered' will be held between 16th and 18th November at Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium.
