NZRA and YMCA combine for professional development

The New Zealand Recreation Association (NZRA) has joined with the YMCA to host a series of recreation planning workshops.

The 'Recreation Programming 101' workshops are to be presented by Robyn Cockburn of respected consultants Lumin, along with local presenters using case studies to show the principles in practice.

To be held in five locations around New Zealand in March 2009, the events are aimed at recreation, sport, events and programming staff at an operational level.

Dates/locations for the events are:

• Wednesday 4th March in Invercargill
• Thursday 5th March -Christchurch
• Thursday 12th March - North Shore
• Monday 16th March - Wanganui
• Wednesday 18th March - Tauranga
