Nutrition course and platform launched for fitness professionals to help clients achieve results

The Australian Fitness Academy has partnered with LEAN Nutrition Tech to help facilitate the education delivery and roll-out of the new revolutionary meal planning platform, Health & Physical By LEAN.

Australian Fitness Academy and LEAN are describing the platform as “a genuine game-changer for the fitness industry in Australia and is unlike any other nutrition software previously developed.”

Designed specifically for fitness professionals and backed by accredited dietitians, Health & Physical by LEAN automatically generates accurate, convenient and effective meal plans directly to clients.

Australian Fitness Academy (AFA) Managing Director, Steve Hore says this partnership will provide fitness professionals across Australia with the ability to help their clients achieve better health and fitness results, whilst also generating an additional source of revenue.

Hore advised “we’ve been looking at ways to provide Personal Trainers with critical nutrition knowledge and skills and now we can do exactly that through this exciting partnership.

“One of the main reasons we were so eager to join forces with LEAN Nutrition Tech is that this unique platform will help PTs deliver nutrition coaching and meal planning services within their business, which is something they’ve not been able to do before now.”

While fitness professionals are limited in the nutritional advice they can provide because of the industry’s Scope of Practice, appropriate meal plans and methods for weight management is determined for clients via a Screening Process and Risk Assessment questionnaire, all developed by Australian dietitians at LEAN.

LEAN Founder and Managing Director, Mike O’Sullivan added “we’ve been working hard to find the best way to partner with fitness professionals in a way that is unique to them and believe our software and coaching course finally bridges that gap. Our automated meal planner is there for PTs to use for weight management with their clients and our dietitians are also available through video conference for their clients for more technical nutrition support if needed.

“We see this as a true game changer! Dietitians at LEAN can broaden our expertise into the fitness world, PTs can provide a better service and added revenue while staying within scope, and fitness clients can achieve better results because we know that exercise, meal planning and coaching is a winning combination.

“We’re very happy to partner with AFA in the delivery of our course. They’re industry leaders in fitness education and we are committed to being a leading digital service to the PTs across the country and be a part of the much-anticipated bounce back we will see very soon.”

Prior to gaining access to the nutrition platform, all subscribers must complete the LEAN Nutrition Tech and Coaching course, delivered by AFA, which is comprised of five short modules that will provide participants with the basics of applied nutrition, nutritional coaching techniques and user training for the platform. Enrolments and subscriptions through AFA will begin on Monday, 4th October 2021.
