Nominations open for the 2014 Recreation SA Awards

Recreation SA is inviting nominations for its 2014 Awards which will be presented at the 2014 South Australian Recreation and Parks Conference Gala Dinner on 7th April 2014.

The member organisation that represents aquatic and recreation professionals in South Australia will be presenting the following awards:

• 2014 Aquatic Innovation Award

• 2014 Aquatic Person of the Year Award

• 2014 Community Fitness or Recreation Initiative Award

• 2014 Excellence in Recreation Planning Project Award

Nominations close at 5pm on Friday 21st March 2014.

Details of the winner of the Recreation SA 2013 Aquatic Industry Person of the Year Award have recently been announced.

Nathan Byles, Manager of the Unley Swimming Centre, received the award at the Links Modular Solutions Aquatic Conference held in September last year.

Byles was nominated for the award as he has been at the forefront of the aquatic industry for a number of years, starting as a casual life guard at Adelaide Aquatic Centre to his current position, he was acknowledged for working tirelessly in the industry.

Byles has also committed to the industry by taking on the role as Chair of the Recreation SA Aquatics Advisory Committee.
