New Zealand to present new venues and opportunities at AIME
New Zealand’s newest venues will be unveiled for buyers at the Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME) on 23rd and 24th February in Melbourne.
Conventions and Incentives New Zealand (CINZ) has put together a 15-strong contingent for the 100% Pure New Zealand stand, ready to inspire AIME buyers with a warm welcome and generous hospitality this year.
First time New Zealand exhibitors at AIME this year include Auckland’s 3,000-capacity New Zealand International Convention Centre and the Hobbiton Movie Set from the Waikato region.
This year will also see the Christchurch and Canterbury Convention Bureau return, having last exhibited at AIME in 2011, leading CINZ Chief Executive Sue Sullivan to state “it is exciting to see them back on deck, accompanied by Christchurch Convention and Exhibition Centre.”
Ngahihi o te ra Bidois is CINZ’s first Māori Cultural Ambassador for AIME 2016. Known as ‘the Face of New Zealand’ he will be sharing his cultural insights and welcoming guests with Manaakitanga - warm and friendly hospitality.
Sullivan says for the second year New Zealand will be treating hosted buyers to an exclusive breakfast at the 100% Pure New Zealand stand on Wednesday 24th February.
She also explains “Cloudy Bay wine tastings on the first afternoon, 23 February will be another highlight for visitors. Express lunches will also be a big plus for day buyers visiting the 100% Pure New Zealand stand on both days of AIME 2016.”
Joining CINZ and Tourism New Zealand on stand 4614 are:
• Air New Zealand
• AccorHotels New Zealand
• Auckland Convention Bureau
• Auckland Conventions Venues and Events
• Christchurch and Canterbury Convention Bureau
• Christchurch Convention and Exhibition Centre
• Claudelands Conference and Exhibition Centre
• Destination Rotorua Business Events
• Heritage Hotels
• Hobbiton™ Movie Set
• Millennium Hotels and Resorts
