New Zealand review of exercise pre-screening processes
As a part of the New Zealand Register of Exercise Professionals' (REPs) on-going process of developing tools and resources for exercise professionals and exercise facilities to use, it is soon to embark on a review of the REPs industry pre screening tool.
A technical panel including representation from academic experts, the fitness and exercise industry, and the Department of Labour will be providing input into the content of the new pre screening tool.
REPs Registrar Stephen Gacsal advises "effective Pre screening is crucial to ensure that the New Zealand public receive the most effective and safest exercise advice.
"It is important that the pre screening tool is regularly reviewed to reflect the latest developments and research in exercise prescription."
