New Zealand fitness jobs service changes hands

FitnessNZ has recently taken over ownership of the popular New Zealand job site FitNZ and its sister site FitAUS.

Explaining the move, FitnessNZ Chief Executive Richard Beddie told Australasian Leisure Management "with this site, we will soon be able to offer employers in the fitness industry extremely cost effective advertising of exercise and fitness jobs, with a large pool of potential employees, that match the skills the industry needs.

"As the vast majority of employers in the New Zealand fitness industry are (FitnessNZ) members, we can leverage this to create a strong base of jobs on the site, and a strong reason for potential employees to visit."

FitnessNZ says it will work closely with the New Zealand Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) and leading tertiary education providers in New Zealand, who both have large pools of potential employees.

Both sites are presently undergoing a number of major changes being developed and are set to be relaunched in the next few months.
