Penrith community invited to offer input on Allsopp and Paterson Oval playspace upgrade

Penrith City Council is inviting the community to offer feedback on the proposed upgrade of the Allsopp and Paterson Oval playspace in Cambridge Park.

Penrith Mayor Todd Carney encouraged the community to share their ideas and suggestions for the new playspace adding “we want to hear how we can make Allsopp and Paterson Oval playspace a more inclusive and better space for the community.

"Your feedback is crucial to ensuring that the upgraded playspace meets the needs of local families and children of all abilities.”

The $400,000 upgrade of Penrith City Council’s Allsopp and Paterson Oval playspace is funded by the NSW Government’s Local Small Commitments Allocation program.

Local State Member for Penrith Karen McKeown enthused “this will be a wonderful community facility that will ensure all children will have a space which is inclusive and accessible for passive and active sports. It's important to provide your feedback.”

The Allsopp and Paterson Oval playspace upgrade was identified through the Sport and Recreation Strategy, Council’s 15-year road map for the future provision of sport, play, recreation and open space across the City.

Community consultation is open until Wednesday 16th April.
