New two-storey playground to open at Logan Reserve
The Logan community can celebrate the opening of a new adventure playground at Stoneleigh Reserve Park this Saturday 20th August with the upgrade to the Park including a two-storey playground with high and low slide tunnels, additional swings, a play water pump and a basketball half-court.
The official opening of the new playground, in Stoneleigh Reserve Blvd, is from 11am to noon and will offer complimentary light refreshments.
Logan City Councillor Jacob Heremaia said the new facilities would be a further boost to what already is a popular local park noting “Logan Reserve is one of the city’s fastest-growing suburbs and it is important that Council provides new and upgraded facilities that are needed by the local community.”
The upgrade was funded through the Division 8 Local Infrastructure Program.
Heremaia said the design and colouring of the new playground complemented the nearby natural bushland area adding “many families have chosen to live in this area and will definitely benefit from these well-designed improvements and upgrades to their local park.
“With equipment for children of all ages, Stoneleigh Reserve Park is going to be well- used and a much-loved destination for locals and visitors to the area.”
Stoneleigh Reserve Park is at 13-25 Stoneleigh Reserve Blvd, Logan Reserve.
