New TreeTop Adventures site open in Sydney’s Hills
Outdoor adventure specialists TreeTop Adventures have opened their latest location, an all-new outdoor adventure park in the Cumberland State Forest in West Pennant Hills, NSW.
Offering one of Australia’s largest high-ropes courses, TreeTops is comprised of 126 challenges among the forest’s soaring 40 metre-high Bunya pines.
Officially opened to the public this week, the Hills area TreeTop Adventures is the latest of four new locations across NSW.
Each of these award-winning and eco-friendly attractions offers arranged according to age groups and graded in difficulty, so there is something for everyone.
This newest nature-driven adventure park features climbing nets, ‘Tarzan’ lianas, monkey bridges, suspended rafts, trapezes, twisted ladders, and 20 state-of-the-art zip lines - with some of the action taking place 25 metres above the ground.
TreeTops allows visitors to get close to native Australian fauna and flora as they climb, weave and fly through the tree tops on self-guided rope courses The hands-on high ropes experience features Australia’s first ‘skatey-180’ challenge for children, where youngsters cna create their own bridge to get from tree to tree, as well as half-circle bridges, and a new pummel horse challenge.
Accessibility is also a consideration at TreeTops, with the parks accessible to people with a range of physical, sensory and mental abilities. Participants are required to be independently mobile (without physical assistance or aids) and professional team members provide expert advice on the most appropriate courses for all visitors and safety requirements.
Sandrine Gaymard the General Manager of TreeTop Adventures operator Ecoline, explains “we’re challenging families to get off their devices and experience the bush this summer.
“Thrill seekers can soar through the trees and zip past the birds and wildlife in Sydney’s only metropolitan state forest.”
A highlight of the new attraction is the Treetop Safari, where guests follow an experienced tour guide along an immersive elevated trail through the tree canopy and across zip lines, ending with the Treetop Crazy Rider – an amalgamation of rollercoaster and flying fox, this rollercoaster zip line offers a thrilling ride through the trees on a swooping, twisting, zig-zagging trail to the end.
TreeTops is proud to be certified as Advanced Ecotourism offering a unique experience for locals and international visitors alike.
