New General Manager for Mt Buller and Mt Stirling
Alpine Resorts Victoria has announced the appointment of Alan Arthur as the new General Manager for Mt Buller/Mt Stirling.
Over the past decade, Arthur has worked in executive roles in the public sector across a variety of industries, most recently working for Central Highlands Rural Health, Australian National University and Goulburn Murray Water.
This has given him deep experience and expertise in compliance, governance and risk management while he also has significant experience in the commercial space and the Victorian Snow market.
Arthur previously worked in global senior management roles for Merlin Entertainment, which used to run the lift companies at Hotham and Falls Creek before being sold to Vail Resorts
He has also previously worked for Australian Alpine Enterprises, which was the entity that owned and ran these same two lift companies in the early 2000s, so has direct experience in the Victorian snow market.
He will commence in the role on Monday 15th April, enabling a handover from the interim General Manager John Merritt, who finished in his role on Friday 19th April.
