New Chief Executive appointed to lead key Townsville entertainment and hospitality venues

Tim Richardson has been appointed Chief Executive of The Ville, Ardo and Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre.

Relocating from the Gold Coast, Richardson takes over from outgoing Chief Executive Michael Jones.

Commenting on his new role, Richardson (pictured) told the Townsville Bulletin “I’m looking forward to seeing the business move into the future, as we work on consolidating and growing with the team.

“It’s position in the Townsville market will remain at the top and it’s our challenge to keep it there, keep it fresh and give people reasons to come.”

Opening earlier this year, Ardo is Townsville’s newest five-star hotel, offering three distinct restaurant experiences including a rooftop bar.

Jones said he was confident Richardson would flourish in the new role, noting "the property has such an exciting future and I know Tim will do a sensational job leading the team."
