New Adventure World giant swing ride gets Goliath branding
Management at Perth amusement park Adventure World have revealed that its new attraction will be branded ‘Goliath’.
Currently undergoing the final phases of its construction, the Intamin-manufactured ride swings 28 metres into the air, while rotating 120 degrees and reaching speeds of almost 18 metres a second.
Having hidden carefully behind a cardboard facade the name of the new attraction was revealed tp Today Tonight last week by Adventure World Chief Executive Andrew Sharry.
Explaining the branding exercise, Sharry stated “we actually had 91 different options that we laboured over for several months.
“It's a big ride; everything about it is big so we knew the name needed to be big and it's for that reason the name of the new ride we'll be launching this season at adventure world is Goliath.”
With ride engineers having spent three months assembling the ride, it is expected to open early in Adventure World’s 2017/18 season.
