More trampolines installed at Cairns’ Tobruk Memorial Pool
The popularity of trampolines at Cairns’ Tobruk Memorial Pool has seen operator Belgravia Leisure add a further seven permanent in-ground trampolines at the facility.
Belgravia Leisure, who manage the centre on behalf of the Cairns Regional Council, funded the recent installation and now plan to add a 27-metre inflatable ‘military-style’ obstacle course on the vacant grass area next to the trampolines along with a fitness space.
Tobruk Memorial Pool Manager John Clark said it was about adding value to the facility, telling the Cairns Post that the additions are “to create an environment for family fun, where people can have a swim then come and have a jump.”
Cairns Councillor Cathy Zeiger said she was “really excited” about the trampolines, which are proving particularly popular with children.
Use of the trampolines costs $5.
