Attractions prepare for busy Easter
As Australia begins to cool down after one of its hottest ever summers, theme parks and attractions are heating up with events, promotions and ride experiences for the Easter weekend and the subsequent school holidays.
Luna Park Sydney
The water rollercoaster, Pirate's Revenge is returning to Luna Park Sydney for the NSW school holidays, an added attraction alongside other adrenaline pumping rides at the attraction including the Wild Mouse; the spinning Rotor, and the Tango Train.
Adventure Park Geelong
Adventure Park Geelong is heating up with four days of fun-filled festivities for the family.
With all rides and attractions running throughout the day from Good Friday through until Easter Monday, Adventure Park will host an enourmous Easter Egg hunt, complete with an appearance by the Easter Bunny, every day at 2pm across the long weekend.
Jamberoo Action Park
NSW's largest theme park will close for the season on 28th April, so the Easter weekend and school holidays offer the last chance for guests to make the most of the Parks's activities and attractions.
These include the newly opened Funnel Web the biggest water thrill ride of its kind in the world and Banjo's Billabong aquatic play structure.
Village Theme Parks
Warner Bros. Movie World, Sea World and Wet'n'Wild Water World are ramping up for the Easter holidays by offering interstate guests the opportunity to buy three VIP Passes and receive the fourth free.
The VIP Pass provides unlimited entry to Movie World, Sea World and Wet'n'Wild until 30th June 2013 for only $109.99. This offer is valid until 28th March 2013.
The team at Sea World's recently opened Seal Harbour is gearing up for their first big holiday crowds with thousands expected to experience the new exhibit over the Easter break.
Sea World Curator of Mammals Mitchell Leroy said that Seal Harbour is an amazing exhibit and is sure to be a huge hit with the holiday crowds.
Leroy explained "Seals and Sea Lions are amazing fun to watch; They are very playful and interactive and they are just so graceful in the water.
"Seal Harbour is a spectacular home for seals, featuring natural sandy bottomed lagoons with crystal clear waters, glass petitions and specially designed boardwalks just above the water's surface, so guests can watch the seals splash, play and sunbathe all day long."
In addition to Seal Harbour, the world's first 'Justice League 3D The Ride' recently opened at Movie World while the 'Constrictor', also recently opened, continues to send guests on a wild 30 kilometre per hour ride at Wet'n'Wild.
Village Roadshow Theme Parks Chief Operating Officer Bob White said guests will be able to enjoy some of the most exciting rides and attractions available in Australia today these school holidays with around $15 million invested since September 2012 to ensure guests have a theme park experience they will never forget.
White added "we are confident that the recently opened rides and attractions will wow the Easter holiday crowds. With the weather improving, we are expecting a bumper Easter holiday season."
