Moore Park Golf lights up participant engagement

Having recently unveiled $1.3 million in redevelopments at its driving range, Moore Park Golf is enhancing the customer experience and redefining the way customers enjoy playing and practicing golf in an entertainment environment.

Challenging negative media coverage about an apparent decline in golf participation, the public opening event for the new features saw well over 1000 people attend on a cold June night, keen to be among the first to have a hit on the new driving range.

The lead up and post event coverage of the opening was a great success with public interest at record levels.

Event milestones included:

• Over 45,000 balls were hit on the new range in under three hours
• 30% increase on overall website traffic at mooreparkgolf.com.au
• A 92% increase in reach and engagement on social media
• Record merchandise sales through the golf shop during the event

Moore Park Golf General Manager Erich Weber stated “golf may have had some challenges in a changing environment but we know that fans of the game haven’t lost their passion for the sport.

“They want to play, be engaged and entertained by their sport differently and Moore Park Golf is innovating at a rapid pace to keep up with the needs and wants of our customers.”

Clublinks Chief Executive Anthony Lawrence added “we worked closely with our partners at Centennial Parklands Trust to deliver a joint marketing campaign.

“As managers of Moore Park Golf, we were thrilled to generate these levels of interest and engagement at such an iconic facility.

“We’re excited about the future of golf and will continue to lead the promotion of it to people of all ages and skill levels.”

Moore Park Golf is one of Australia’s most environmentally friendly and innovative golf destinations and aims to continue to lead the way in building an inspiring future for the game and its visitors.

The new driving range is now open seven days a week from 6am to 11pm.

Moore Park Golf is managed by Clublinks which has over 15 years of experience in managing and consulting to some of Australia’s finest masterplanned golfing developments, public and private golfing facilities, residential estates and leisure centres.
