Mooloolaba Beach Holiday Park multi-million dollar revamp nears completion

The reopened Mooloolaba Beach Holiday Park is preparing to once again welcome guests as of this from Saturday - 4th December.

The old beach holiday park was demolished in July to make way for a contemporary new $3.8 million facility to ensure it remained a destination-of-choice for residents and visitors for years to come.

Fully booked until late January, the upgraded facility includes 59 large sites all with improved access, new amenities including a camp kitchen, landscaping and improved connections to the beachside boardwalk.

Explaining that the holiday park occupies one of the Sunshine Coast’s most beautiful beachfront locations, Sunshine Coast Council Mayor Mark Jamieson noted “it will open again very soon much to the pleasure of the campers and holiday makers who have enjoyed coming here for years.

“The revamped holiday park has been designed with the industry trend for larger caravans, motorhomes and camping trailers front of mind.

“Our enviable climate and natural landscape makes visiting our Sunshine Coast a relaxing holiday destination in any season, so I am delighted our visitors will have such a great place to enjoy during their time here.”

Fellow Sunshine Coast Council Councillor John Connolly said the beach holiday park was a vibrant part of Mooloolaba and he was excited for guests to start arriving, adding "the old holiday park was very tired and needed a lot of work, I think this redevelopment is fantastic for the tourism industry and our local economy.

The Mooloolaba Beach Holiday Park redevelopment is one of many Mooloolaba infrastructure projects Sunshine Coast Council, the State and Federal governments are investing in to create a wold-class destination for residents and visitors to enjoy including:

• $18 million Brisbane Road Car Park redevelopment
• $2.5 million Mooloolaba Boardwalk replacement
• $5.15 million Mayes Canal Pedestrian and Cycling Bridge
