Melbourne Star completes LED Lightshow upgrade
The Melbourne Star in the city’s Docklands - the biggest observation wheel in the Southern Hemisphere - has recently completed a $1 million LED lighting upgrade.
Light displays have always been a signature feature of the giant wheel, but the recent state-of-the-art, energy efficient facelift will enable it to mark events and promotions more dramatically than in the past.
Nicole Hill, Head of Marketing at the Melbourne Star stated “the LED upgrade will give us more opportunities to design and produce creative light shows, which we are all really excited about.”
Melbourne Music Week, which runs from 16th to 24th November, will be staging a series of special events at the Melbourne Star Observation Wheel, holding a set of mini parties in 10 of its cabins, each of which will hold a stripped back local act and a small audience.
