Melbourne secures 2025 Super Netball Grand Final

The partnership between Visit Victoria and Netball Australia has helped Melbourne secure the 2025 Super Netball Grand Final.

Across Australia, netball has the highest level of participation among young women for any sport. The Diamonds are the number one ranked national netball team in the world, and a constant source of inspiration for young netballers.

Victorian Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events Steve Dimopoulos joined Netball Australia CEO Stacey West to announce next year's Super Netball premiership decider will be played at Melbourne Park, as the partnership between Visit Victoria and Netball Australia continues to deliver netball events across the state.

The current Netball World Cup and Constellation Cup champions played England in Bendigo earlier this week, ahead of a Constellation Cup battle with New Zealand at John Cain Arena on Wednesday 30th October - with both games drawing fans from across the state and country.

Last year's Suncorp Super Netball Grand Final drew thousands of fans from interstate, with a sold-out crowd of more than 9,600 fans witnessing a thriller between New South Wales Swifts and the Adelaide Thunderbirds and providing an economic boost of $6.93 million.

Visit Victoria Chief Executive Brendan McClements noted "The 2025 Super Netball Grand Final in Victoria is an incredible addition to our calendar of sporting and cultural events, driving visitation and inspiring the next generation as part of our proud partnership with Netball Australia."

Netball Australia Chief Executive Stacey West added "The Suncorp Super Netball Grand Final has been a sell-out for the past three seasons and Melbourne will continue the tradition in 2025."

"Demand for netball is stronger than ever. Netball is the most popular team sport for women and girls in Australia, and hosting the Grand Final in Melbourne will be a fantastic opportunity for our world-class athletes to inspire new generations to play the sport.''
