MCG announces Playbill as new merchandise supplier
The Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC) has appointed Playbill Pty Ltd as its merchandise and licensing supplier at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Announced after a competitive tender process, the new partnership will see club members and sports fans enjoy an enhanced retail experience and access to a greater range of merchandise when they visit the MCG.
Advising that Playbill won the exclusive contract in recognition of its extensive experience with major sports and events and collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement, MCC General Manager - Commercial Operations, Gavin Corcoran, stated “we welcome the opportunity to work with a new merchandise partner, offering patrons new and exciting ways to capture and celebrate their sporting moments and memories at the ‘G’.
“This partnership with Playbill Pty Ltd builds on our commitment to delivering an enhanced customer experience and increasing fan engagement at the MCG.”
Corcoran also acknowledged the lengthy service provided by the incumbent, TPF, and thanked them for their valued contribution over the last 10 years.
Michael Nebenzahl, Managing Director of Playbill Group, said the team were delighted to be working with the MCG.
Nebenzahl added “this partnership is a tremendous opportunity to improve the merchandise experience at Australia’s most iconic sporting venue for MCG and AFL club members, supporters and lovers of sport.
“With Playbill Pty Ltd’s sports merchandise experience, existing supply arrangements, and appetite for innovation, we are ready to take fan and AFL club engagement to the next level at the MCG.”
