Adelaide 36ers make two senior appointments

The Adelaide 36ers NBL club has announced appointments to its commercial team with two new general managers joining to bring a combined four decades of experience in sports events and media.

Helen Hobbins comes to the 36ers as its General Manager Gameday and Growth.

With 20 years experience in the events industry, Hobbins last role was General Manager Corporate, Events and Gameday Experiences at Port Adelaide AFL Club.

During her five years in this role, Hobbins managed the club’s strategic planning and leadership for all its games as well as overseeing events including the club’s corporate membership groups.

Prior to Port Adelaide she worked in the events departments at the Adelaide Convention Bureau and the Australian Grand Prix Corporation.

Dale Fletcher has joined the 36ers as General Manager Digital, Media and Communications after a long media career, most recently as Deputy Sports Editor of Adelaide’s News Corporation-owned, The Advertiser.

As well as bringing experience from more than two decades in sports media, Fletcher has also served as assistant coach for the South Adelaide Panthers NBL1 men’s team alongside former 36ers players Scott Ninnis and Graham Kubank.

Both officially start their new roles on 4th July.
