Local fitness and wellness providers invited to participate in Healthy Darwin 2025-26 Wet Season program
The City of Darwin is inviting local fitness and wellness providers to be part of the upcoming Healthy Darwin 2025-26 Wet Season program. Healthy Darwin is a year-round initiative promoting active and healthy lifestyles, delivered in two seasonal rounds, the Dry Season (April-September) and the Wet Season (October-March).
Each season features a range of affordable community activities, including weekly fitness classes, lifestyle workshops, and short courses designed to suit a variety of ages and abilities.
The 2025 Dry Season program has seen a surge in participation, with both residents and visitors taking part in the inclusive, low-cost sessions that were held across Darwin.
Lord Mayor Kon Vatskalis enthused "Healthy Darwin continues to be a powerful vehicle for wellbeing in our city. We've been thrilled to see so many residents get involved this Dry Season, from early morning yoga to strength classes for seniors, our community is embracing health and connection."
This year's Dry Season lineup included seniors' aqua fitness, zumba, mums and bubs exercise sessions, hatha yoga and mantra, beach walks and yoga, BoxFit bootcamp, yin yoga, as well as introductory belly dancing, foam roller fundamentals and short courses like sunrise Pilates and health-focused workshops. Activities are delivered in local parks, community centres and pools, using Darwin's open spaces to inspire movement and connection.
As the Wet Season approaches, City of Darwin is calling on qualified local providers to be part of the next phase of the program. From 18th July to 17th August 2025, applications are open for professionals to deliver low-cost group activities and workshops between October 2025 and March 2026.
Providers receive $50 per session, and City of Darwin offers support through digital marketing and other promotional materials. Activities must be accessible, beginner-friendly and promote a healthy lifestyle for all.
This is an excellent opportunity for trainers, instructors, and wellbeing professionals to grow their offering while contributing to a healthier Darwin.
