Live Nation acquires festival producer Team Event enhancing Electric Avenue for fans and artists In New Zealand

Live Nation has further expanded its commitment to live entertainment in the southern hemisphere with the acquisition of festival producer Team Event - the people behind New Zealand’s largest two-day music festival - Electric Avenue, based in Christchurch.

Since 2015, Electric Avenue has fostered a reputation for top talent attraction and rapid growth welcoming around 40,000 fans per day.

Major artists including Lorde, The Chemical Brothers, Flume and The Prodigy have headlined the iconic Hagley Park stage with future plans for venue and capacity expansion.

Managing Director of Live Nation New Zealand, Mark Kneebone notes “Electric Avenue is a testament to what local grit and vision can create - a world-class live music experience. We are excited to partner with Callam and Team Event to take Electric Avenue and its festival brands to the next level, giving fans even greater access to local and international talent while supporting the future growth and success of this iconic New Zealand festival.”

Electric Avenue joins Live Nation’s portfolio of festivals across Australia and New Zealand including: Rhythm & Vines, and the regional Greenstone Summer Concert Tour across New Zealand, alongside Spilt Milk in Australia.
