Life Fitness extends Cardio offering with new Variable-Stride Trainer
Leading commercial fitness equipment manufacturer Life Fitness has expanded its Elevation Series cardio line-up with a new feature-rich Variable-Stride Trainer - the FlexStrider.
A first-time offering for Life Fitness which provides options for exercisers and facilities looking to address the trends toward high-intensity interval training and low-impact, total-body cardio.
Introducing the FlexStrider, Life Fitness Australia Managing Director Paul McClure explains "our newest FlexStrider and PowerMill answer the industry need for innovative products that can be used by a wide variety of exercisers – no matter their fitness ability.
“These additions make our Elevation Series the most dynamic line-up in the industry, providing increased workout possibilities for the exerciser and expansive options for the facility floor.”
In developing a product that offers the widest stride range in the fitness industry, Life Fitness poured its biomechanics expertise into the company’s first-ever variable-stride trainer, resulting in a machine that allows exercisers to emulate true walking, jogging and running motions. Low start-up resistance and a low-to-ground profile make the machine easily-accessible to a wide variety of exercisers that can benefit from its low-impact and total-body cardio workouts.
The FlexStrider Variable-Stride Trainer has a stride length that ranges up to nearly a metre and lets exercisers vary their length on the fly, providing a higher caloric burn due to the body’s need to maintain stride control.
Pre-programmed workouts, resistance-control selections and handle bars provide a variety of options and intensity levels for a full-body workout.
The FlexStrider Variable-Stride Trainer is available with Discover™ Tablet Consoles, which offer the most cutting-edge technology in the fitness industry. Exercisers can utilise the LFconnect™ app to access their customised workouts and save workout data, or use their favorite fitness apps that integrate with the LFopen™ platform, the industry’s first truly open API.
