Leadership Change at Ticketek

Ticketek Chief Executive Geoff Jones has left the company to take up a Directorship with sports management group, Sports and Entertainment Limited (SEL).

Under Jones' leadership over the last two year, Ticketek has strengthened its position as partner to the live entertainment and sports industry in Australia and New Zealand, securing and re-signing key venues.

Since his appointment in June 2007, Jones has introduced new strategies and innovations that have delivered impressive business growth and diversification. He has evolved Ticketek into a market leading live entertainment, marketing, technology and distribution business with a range of successful initiatives including the launch of Ticketek's Hospitality and Corporate Sales division through to the ongoing success of Ticketek's digital marketing platform.

Ticketek Chief Financial Officer Chris Charleson will take on the role of acting Chief Executive.

Following an extensive recruitment search, an announcement for the permanent position of Chief Executive is expected to be made soon.
