Latest Technology for TRAC

The recently opened Thomastown Recreation and Aquatic Centre (TRAC) is operating the latest in technology from Links Modular Solutions (LMS).

The state-of-the-art aquatic and recreation facility is equipped with LMSâ latest hardware and software including new customer 'Kiosks', RFID capability with locker control and the IP based Links Access System

Kiosk
The management of TRAC have embraced the advantages of LMS' Links Kiosk. Featuring a modern and space saving design, the Links Kiosk allows self-service for customers to complete any number of services that they previously queued at reception for. Booking and collecting tickets, buying a membership, paying for a casual visit and various other tasks are all available, increasing customer satisfaction by avoiding lines at reception.

The Kiosk allows for casual users, swim school participants and members to access their own personal records, make bookings and change or pay for any service that is available at your facility.

Customers can place an amount on 'Links Customer Cashless Accounts', a 'cashless account' for use throughout the centre, including reception and vending machines. Transactions are updated to the managementâs database in real time and are fully trackable with other financials details.

For customers, the system removes the inconvenience of customers having to carry around cash or bank cards while for facility management the benefits are improved service for customers and freeing up time for staff.

When introduced at the Ascot Vale Leisure Centre, manger Shane Dunne found that the locker system and group fitness kiosk reduced over 3,000 reception visits per week.

As Dunne explains 'this has allowed staff more time to be committed to member management and service."

Lockers
Using their RFID card or waterproof wristband, TRAC users are able to gain access to their locker any number of times with no more keys to lose or codes to remember. The lockers can be battery operated or hardwired, with the hardwired option providing the additional advantage of software that displays locker usage and controls, like remote locking/unlocking.

This will mean that customers can now gain access to the centre, lockers and pay for services without the need to bring wallets or keys or wait at reception.

IP Access
Designed for reliability, flexibility and ease of use, the Links IP Access System is suitable for any turnstile, gate or door in any type of facility. The intelligent access control even allows managers to configure entry rules to their own needs, taking account of gender or membership type specific areas.

Members and casual users can be granted access throughout your facility to only the areas you specify. For example, âintelligentâ customer security avoids aquatic customers gaining entry to dry areas.

The level of support granted by IP Access is very high. If any technical issues arise, diagnosis can be performed remotely from LMS' offices in Australia and the USA, with precise and easy instructions given to staff already at the facility - meaning less time waiting for a on-site technician to be available and significantly reduced costs. In the event that a technician is needed on-site, they will know what the situation is ahead of time, making a resolution even more efficient.
