Latest stages of Adelaide’s City Dirt Trails complete
BMX trail design specialists The Trail Collective have completed the final stages of Adelaide’s City Dirt Trails for the City of Adelaide.
Located at Kurangga in the southern Adelaide Park Lands, stages three and four of the City Dirt Trails project has seen The Trail Collective reconstruct the existing advanced start mound to provide a compliant, larger starting platform, stairs and balustrades.
The work also included a walk in storage unit for trail tools and accessories, providing a safe and easily accessible area for the volunteers to access tools for maintenance of the advanced section of the park.
Earlier stages of the project saw the construction of a pump track style to cater for families, beginner and intermediate children and adolescents wanting to learn cornering and 'pumping' techniques to build skills and bike control.
This stage of works was opened late December and has since been enhanced by landscaping to effectively bring the entire project to practical completion.
