KPMG South Australian Sport Hall of Fame 2013 inductees named
Five new members have been inducted into the KPMG South Australian Sport Hall of Fame, joining 35 existing members, including two teams, led by South Australian sporting legends Sir Donald Bradman, Bart Cummings and Barrie Robran.
The 2013 inductees are: Kathryn Harby Williams (netball), Sir James Hardy (yachting), Jenny Williams (lacrosse) and the deceased Ken McGregor (tennis) and Jack Oatey (SANFL).
A chronicle of the success of South Australians in sport since the initial inductees in 2010, the new members join an impressive group of exceptional sportsmen and women.
Outlining the achievements of the initiative Sport SA Chief Executive Jan Sutherland explained "the KPMG South Australian Sport Hall of Fame is now four years old and the heritage, success and achievements of sport are recognised as we honour this prestigious, elite group of inductees.
"They inspire the current and next generations of sports stars, athletes in grassroots sports and the entire community leading by example with their outstanding qualities and exceptional sporting prowess."
The new members will be welcomed into the KPMG South Australian Sport Hall of Fame on 22nd November at the KPMG Celebration of South Australian Sport being held at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
The event will also see the announcement of The Advertiser/Channel Seven Sports Star of the Year awards and also the Sport SA awards which recognise the people and events behind the stars.
