Korea's largest waterpark unveils more world-class WhiteWater attractions
Korea's largest waterpark, Lotte Water Park in Busan, has unveiled the second and final phase of a major upgrade of its waterslides and attractions manufactured by WhiteWater West.
Together with WhiteWater’s expertise, Lotte Water Park has created a new waterpark zone of fun and thrills ready for the (northern hemisphere) summer.
Lotte Water Park experienced tremendous attendance numbers when it opened for its first season in 2014 – reaching 18,000 guests visits on one record day. Now, for the 2015 summer is has unveied 12 more colourful waterslides including dueling Master Blasters®, a Boomerango™, four interlocking AquaLoops™ and more. In additional to the waterslides, WhiteWater has supplied a FlowRider® Double surf wave simulator.
Built in two stages, the multi-phased construction process was required to accommodate the sheer scope of the waterpark, home to Korea’s largest wave pool, with the expansion enabling Lotte to open their doors to even visitors.
Lotte World also offers the world's largest indoor theme park (open all year round), an outdoor amusement park, an artificial island, shopping malls, a luxury hotel, a Korean folk museum, sports facilities, movie theatres and the Lotte Water Park.
Opened in 1989, Lotte World receives over 8 million visitors each year.
