gemba to explore sponsorship across China
Sports and entertainment research group gemba has announced plans to expand its Sports & Entertainment Report into China.
Launched in 2007, gemba's Insights division to gain insights into how consumers engage with sports, music, movies and other entertainment genres.
Since the Australian launch the report has been expanded into Hong Kong, India and New Zealand. Over this period gemba has also developed research programs for adidas Asia Pacific, adidas International, Quiksilver and Coca Cola.
Todd Deacon, former General Manager of Sweeney Sports, has been appointed head of Insights for gemba and will be part of its December push into Mainland China.
In Hong Kong, Gemba has been building up its local offering led by general manager Sarah Trainor working with the likes of Hong Kong Jockey Club and adidas.
gemba Director, Ron Mills explains that "we see Insights as a major component of our value proposition to clients and key part of our future growth.
"The gemba Sports & Entertainment report has been incredibly successful in a very short time frame and we believe that Todd can not only continue the evolution of this product, but can also drive the introduction of new proprietary products."
