ICSS launches Securing Sport 2014

The International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS) has announced the date and location for Securing Sport 2014, the leading international sport security and integrity conference.

Following the success of the 2013 event, which was attended by 400 leading figures from sport, security and integrity and featured by media in over 25 countries, Securing Sport 2014 will take place in Doha, Qatar from 13th to 15th April 2014.

As part of the ICSS's mission to drive new thinking in security, safety and integrity, Securing Sport 2014 will again bring together the elite of international experts and organisations to explore emerging themes and share best practice in the field.

Speaking at a recent event to launch the conference, ICSS President Mohammed Hanzab, President stated "I am delighted that the fourth edition of Securing Sport will take place in Doha (from) 13th to 15th April 2014 and I look forward to welcoming the world's leading experts in sport, security and integrity to Doha once again.

"Securing Sport 2013 was an unprecedented success around the world and with many major sporting events taking place next year, including the 2014 FIFA World Cup, the Sochi 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, Securing Sport 2014 will be a unique forum for leading international bodies, organisations and businesses to share knowledge and best practice and to discuss current themes on the sport security and integrity agenda.

"It will be a must attend event for anyone who is truly passionate about sport."

In 2013, the coverage of ICSS and the event reached an estimated audience of 233 million people across markets including Brazil, Russia, UK, Japan, China and around the Middle East, resulting in an Advertising Value Equivalent (AVE) of US$5.6 million.

The 'Save the Dream' logo launch at the Securing Sport 2013 Gala Dinner received the highest level of interest, generating a potential reach of 71 million people and an AVE of US$ 2.4 million.

In keeping with last year's identity, an updated Securing Sport logo was also unveiled at a recent special launch event, which was attended by over 80 dignitaries and sports leaders.
