Joint Venture for Nationwide Wellness Centres
Perth-based wellness and health care company ATOS Wellness Limited has formed a joint venture with SOL Wellness Pty Ltd to establish up to 12 new Wellness Centres throughout Australia.
The SOL Group has been working with local governments to satisfy a growing demand for community health and wellness centres, integrating first class aquatic, medical and wellness services. SOL is about to commence the first two developments in the City of Wanneroo and City of Mandurah in Western Australia (through SOL AYR Developments Pty Ltd) and is developing 10 further projects in South Australia, Queensland and Western Australia.
The new joint venture between ATOS and SOL Wellness will own and operate the aquatic, wellness, day spa and weight management businesses within the new community centres using the ATOS well-proven Inspired Life, Body Contours and Bodycure models.
The existing ATOS Inspired Life Centre in Bentley, Western Australia, with its swimming pool, fitness centre, Body Contours Day Spa, Bodycure Weight Management and physiotherapy services will be the model for the new joint venture company.
SOL Wellness will manage the Australian joint venture operations. ATOS Wellness in Singapore will provide policy and procedures, training and support for therapy and wellness staff as well as staff recruitment.
This project adds new ATOS Wellness Centres in Australia. It is expected to increase ATOS group revenue for Wellness services in Australia from presently $2 million for one centre to $10 million in 2012 for four centres. SOL Wellness has committed $300,000 to upgrade equipment and fit out at the ATOS Inspired Life Health Centre to show case the state of the art computer equipment and services. ATOS Wellness has committed $450,000 for the fit out of the first two community Atos Sol Wellness centres in 2009 and 2010.
Siva Ananda Rajah, the founder of ATOS Wellness Pte Ltd in Singapore and Director and Chief Executive of ATOS Wellness Ltd is confident that within the present five year business plan ATOS will replicate its Singapore market presence in Australia. In Singapore the ATOS group operates eight Wellness Centres and three Beauty Clinics with revenues of $20 million per annum.
According to Ananda "this project provides ATOS Wellness Ltd with part of its the future growth path. This business is underpinned by revenue, is earnings positive and adds further to the ATOS growth story .
