JoG Recreation and Fitness Consultancy launches

Experienced fitness and recreation professional John Glancy has created a Melbourne based professional consultancy service - JoG Recreation and Fitness Consultancy.

Drawing on knowledge and skills developed over 15 years in the sport, recreation and fitness industries, Glancy feels that JoG is positioned uniquely in the Australian consultancy sector, explaining “JoG's focus and expertise encompasses facility design and operation, through to direct project management. JoG provides an on the ground, accessible approach, complementing other fellow consultants specialising in marketing, sales and business coaching.'

Glancy has a strong history of experience working in council aquatic and recreation facilities (Aligned Leisure, YMCA), an international five-star spa resort (Serenity Spa, England) and has most recently played a significant role in the 24/7 fitness boom with Zap Fitness.

He has also worked in conjuction with premier equipment brands Precor, Technogym and Life Fitness and has a current and diverse understanding of the industry.

Able to meet the needs of a wide range of clients, JoG Recreation and Fitness Consultancy prides itself on being aware of the latest trends, equipment and innovations. When combined with a comprehensive network of suppliers, contractors and industry contacts, JoG is the conduit to initiating a successful project and managing the best team to deliver it to completion.

Commenting on Glancy’s abilities, Shane Dunne, General Manager – Operations at Aligned Leisure stated “John supported the transition plan for Aligned Leisure’s commencement in the Shire of Cardinia.

“He led the gymnasium upgrade project, delivering a complete gym pack down, asset improvement, fit out and launch in four days, ahead of time and on budget.

“John also supported the transition in a range of areas including supplier engagement and documentation development.'

Precor Senior Sales Manager Paul Kelly advised of the company’s long-standing relationship with JoG, adding “as part of the Precor Australia Leadership Team I have had the professional pleasure to collaborate on a number of large scale Health Club projects throughout Australia with Director, John Glancy.

“Each of the projects having their own unique challenges whether it be size, budget or logistics.
