Jeff Kennett returns to Hawthorn FC Presidency
The Board of the Hawthorn Football Club has today advised of the resigntation of Club President, Richard Garvey, indicated that he was leaving his role having accepted responsibility for issues surrounding the appointment and short tenure of former Chief Executive Tracey Gaudry.
The Board ratified that former President Jeff Kennett will assume the Presidency subject to a members’ vote at the AGM in December, which has been accepted.
The former Victorian Premier previously served as Hawthorn President between 2005-2011.
