Japan's Nagashima Resort launches 'best waterpark ride on the planet'

Global waterpark and attractions company WhiteWater has paired the world's two most thrilling waterslides at the Nagashima Resort in Kuwana City, Japan.

This industry first is a fusion of the award-winning Family Boomerango and the all new Manta into one waterpark ride, with WhiteWater doubling the ride experience with mirror image Family Boomerango and Mantas slides that originate from the same tower.

Already being hailed as the "best waterpark ride on the planet", the giant attraction takes guests through the classic sensation of rafting, leading into a screaming, velocity-building drop that launches riders up the famous Boomerango wall, making them feel like they are 'going vertical' then weightless all the while getting a bird's eye view of what is coming next.

Guests then fall back and barely have time to catch their breath while racing across a flat section propelling them right into the rushing waters of the Manta where maximum oscillations and a plunge to the finish will leave them breathless and eager to ride again and again.

Having previously worked in installing attractions at the Nagashima Resort, WhiteWater President and Chief Executive Geoff Chutter explains "WhiteWater is honoured to have been chosen again by Nagashima Resort.

In operation since 1966 and formerly named Nagashima Spa land, Nagashima Resort is a comprehensive amusement and waterpark complex in Kuwana, Mie Prefecture, Japan. In addition to its waterpark it features several roller coasters, thrill rides, children's rides and a giant Ferris wheel.
