Jamberoo Action Park gears up for peak season
Jamberoo Action Park in the NSW Illawarra region is preparing for its summer trade with ongoing staff training for new team members that will bring the attraction’s staff complement to a total of 300 total team members for its peak summer season.
Buoyed by reports that this will be a warm summer, Jamberoo Action Park General Manager, Matt George advises “training is ongoing for our 120 new team members (and) we have received some great feedback on our new partnership with training platform, Safety Culture, which has modernised the training experience to ensure it is modular, interactive, and caters for the different learning needs.
“The business has also teamed up with Hidden Disabilities who have provided their Sunflower Project training program to our team members, giving them an excellent understanding on how to assist individuals with their differing and sometimes specific needs, making the facility an accessible experience for all.”
In terms of experiences, the Velocity Falls precinct - incorporating the Octo Racer and The Stingers - that opened in 2022 is still very much the focus, with the eight lane Octo Racer a family and friends orientated speed slide offering a variety of different lane configurations.
Octo Racer is also one of Jamberoo’s rides which feature facial recognition cameras, with guests able to get a picture of themselves and other racers near the finish line at the bottom of the ride.
George adds “our rides and facilities are amongst the biggest and best of their type in the world and are part of the ongoing plans for even more in the near future.”
Set against the back-drop of the Illawarra escarpment, all of the rides, attractions and park amenities at Jamberoo are positioned to deliver an entertainment experience unlike any other.
