ICC Sydney expands employee benefits program

International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) has expanded its employee benefits program to include provisions for both its permanent and casual workforce.

The large scale employer has developed its benefits scheme to span work-related, health, lifestyle, and learning and development areas. To enhance casual employees’ work conditions, the venue has also updated and registered its Enterprise Bargaining Agreement with Australia’s Fair Work Commission.

ICC Sydney Chief Executive, Geoff Donaghy said the elevated benefits program formed part of the venue’s commitment to prioritising the people at the centre of its operations and noted “since opening ICC Sydney in 2016, we've been proud to foster a culture of respect and fairness for the many people employed with us across a range of trades and positions.

“With the increase of in person events, we are also adding new team members across a spectrum of skills to meet the needs of clients. Our employee benefits program coupled with our upgraded Enterprise Bargaining Agreement will continue to help us meet our ambition to be more than a venue for the customers and community we serve.”

ICC Sydney’s employee benefits program encompasses a range of advantages including:

  • Paid parental leave and paid exam leave

  • An internal rewards and recognition program that covers a range of prizes from VIP entertainment event tickets to goods and services

  • Discounted car parking

  • Multi-hire opportunities

  • Access to a free employee assistance program (counselling services)

The Employees Referral Program, which provides a financial incentive for team members referring successful job candidates to permanent or casual roles on offer at ICC Sydney.

Expanded benefits in ICC Sydney’s Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) included annual wage increases and enhanced work conditions for certain operational roles.
