ICC Sydney continues to successfully deliver virtual events

Studio spaces, a dedicated audio visual team and innovative ICC Sydney Connect platform have contributed towards International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) successfully delivering a further three virtual events last week, bringing the total number of in-house virtual or hybrid events to 156 over the past year.

Connect Media’s Healthcare Leaders Forum, Landcare Australia’s National Landcare Conference and The Law Society of New South Wales’ Specialist Accreditation Conference all utilised the venue’s studio spaces and ICC Sydney Connect platform.

Connect Media’s Operations Manager, Bridee Arrighi, said ICC Sydney’s ample venue space, experienced and accommodating on site audio visual operators and technological capability, provided a consistently safe solution for their suite of events.

Arrighi notes “we’ve been pleased to be able to continue to host our events virtually with ICC Sydney. Their audio visual expertise, studio spaces and ICC Sydney Connect platform assisted us to ensure a seamless experience for our partners, speakers and delegates. Through the ICC Sydney Connect platform, we’ve been able to brand the event, list partners and link out to relevant websites. Our delegates and speakers have once again loved the accessibility and interactive presentation of the program within this interface.”

ICC Sydney delivered Connect Media’s Healthcare Leaders Forum for a third time, and in a virtual format for the second year running. The event attracted 200 online medical and healthcare professionals.

Over the last year, Connect Media has selected ICC Sydney for 12 events, eight of which were presented virtually utilising the ICC Sydney Connect customisable platform.

ICC Sydney Director of Audio Visual Services, Brian Nash said the venue is proud to offer an expansive audio visual product suite to help support a range of clients with their requirements.

Nash adds “under the extremely challenging circumstances created by the pandemic, supporting event organisers to deliver essential, flexible and high quality hybrid and virtual event solutions has been central to our service over the last year. At these critical times, we have been able to expand our offering to meet the needs of our clients. Staying open, flexible and agile has ensured clients who need to progress with their events online are able to do so.”

Landcare Australia’s National Landcare Conference is the largest knowledge sharing convention for the Landcare community. This year it was streamed from ICC Sydney to an online audience of 3,000 Landcare groups and volunteers, landholders and farmers, Indigenous land and sea managers, Landcare facilitators, educators, researchers, natural resource management professionals and other community environmental groups and individuals.

ICC Sydney’s dedicated audio visual team supported the complex and comprehensive program, which saw plenary and multiple virtual breakout sessions delivered from a centralised physical location. Each session was set up with a local facilitator and supported by a technician.

Melissa Higgins, Marketing and Communications Director at Landcare Australia, said the provision of an extraordinarily seamless virtual event solution offered by ICC Sydney’s team was invaluable.

Higgins advised “the National Landcare Conference attracts delegates from around the world and from rural, regional and urban communities in Australia with a common purpose to actively restore and protect the environment in their local community through sustainable land management and conservation activities. After two incredibly challenging years, having managed varied landscapes through drought, bushfires and now the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was critically important to present the conference to continue to connect and support our Landcare community. ICC Sydney offered a high quality, safe and tested service.”

ICC Sydney’s virtual event service continues to provide an effective solution to meet clients’ organisational and educational objectives.
