Hobart’s newest gym looks to deliver exciting and effective fitness

The recently opened Stomp Fitness in Hobart is aiming to offer exercisers exciting and effective fitness with interactive and social group sessions and supported strength training.

Promoted as Australia's first 'Ex-Gym' blending entertainment technologies with contemporary fitness equipment, Stomp Fitness is managed by Brett Young, Chief Executive of Exergaming Australia & People Powered Games.

Introducing the gym, Young explains “over the last few months we’ve further extended Stomp’s unique gamified equipment.

“We’ve added ‘Articulating’ Spin Bikes called Real Ryders which we’ll further modify to interface with video games in single and multiplayer scenarios.

“We also use iPAD/Camera technology to create an excellent cardivascular activity which helps strengthen and stabilise knees and ankles, great rehab tool as well.

“We have further equipment to adapt and gamify over the year, which is also very exciting including Boxing adaptions, Cross Trainer adaptions and Concept 2 Rower adaptions.”
