Foxtix announces account wins

Foxtix Commercial Director Harley Evans has announced that the company is now ticketing for a number of new events.

These events are:

• V8 Supercar Championships: 2011 Winton Raceway;
• The FitX Sport and Fitness Expo;
• The Melbourne Rebels vs. Fiji Rugby Union trial match.

Foxtix has been appointed the exclusive ticketing partner for the V8 Supercar Championships in Winton, Victoria, to be held in May 2011. The V8 Supercar Championship Series is one of the worldsâ largest and best known touring car categories, recognised internationally as a leader in motorsport and entertainment. Known as 'The Nation's Action Track', the Winton Race is the fifth event in the V8 Supercar Series.

Foxtix has also acquired the ticketing rights to the inaugural FitX Sport and Fitness Expo - which is aiming to become Australia's leading fitness and sport exhibition. This event encapsulates the IFBB Australian Pro Bodybuilding Grand Prix, which has been held annually since 2001 and has become the third longest running pro bodybuilding show in the world and Australia's longest running and most respected pro bodybuilding event. It attracts fans and enthusiasts, both male and female from across the globe.

Australia's newest Super Rugby Franchise, the Melbourne Rebels, has selected Foxtix, to provide advance sales services to their highly anticipated trial match against Fiji on 29th January. In preparation for their inaugural season in the Super 15 Rugby competition, the Melbourne Rebels will play a series of trial matches against some of the best national and international teams.

Evans said that he was pleased with how quickly the Foxtix portfolio has grown since it's launch in October 2010.

"The industry is very quickly realising the benefits of Foxtix. Our low fees, flexible customer service options, advanced ticketing platform combined with the News Limited packages we are able to offer, means event organisers have a real alternative to current ticketing providers in the market.

"The speed with which we have acquired these high profile events since our launch is a strong indication of the industry's need for a better value-for-money solution from a ticketing and marketing partner."

Foxtix's current list of clients includes the Formula One Australian Grand Prix, Swimming NSW, The Southern Cross Club (ACT), The Amazing Bodies Exhibition and the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show.

Two new executives have also joined the Foxtix management team.

Michael Burnell has been appointed State Manager with responsibility for day-to-day and new business activities in the Victorian, South Australian and Western Australian markets. He will also work on the partnerships with News Limited sponsored packages and events.

Hamish Anderson becomes Foxtix's senior account manager, responsible for Foxtix's flagship client - The Formula One Australian Grand Prix and Motorcycle Grand Prix.
