Fitness students impacted by Inspire Education closure to benefit from scholarship program
Leading vocational education and training provider, Foundation Education Group, incorporating subsidiaries Foundation Education and Australian Institute of Personal Trainers (AIPT) has announced a national $500,000 scholarship program to support up to 200 students recently impacted by the closure of Inspire Education.
Thousands of Australians nationwide are still in limbo following the sudden closure of registered training organisation Inspire Education, leaving some potentially out of pocket and out of qualification.
The scholarships will be offered across both Foundation Education and AIPT, enabling students to complete their qualification, at no cost.
Courses applicable for a scholarship span early childhood education, school-based education support, business and fitness, and will be available to students regardless of whether they have been offered a refund for their Inspire Education course.
Applications for scholarships open on 1st December 2022 and will be awarded based on a demonstration of genuine passion for studies, commitment to graduate, and a desire to thrive in their relevant field. The applicant must also have been an active Inspire Education student at the time of the Inspire Education closure.
Adam Woollard, Chief Executive, Foundation Education Group shared “It is the right thing to do. These students have made a proactive decision to undertake study. Industry is crying out for the skills these students are looking to achieve through their study. It is incumbent on us, as a leader in the VET sector, to provide a solution for these students and that is why we are offering this scholarship program.
“We are not here to pitch. We are here to represent. Foundation Education Group delivers education to 16,000 students nationwide and our goal is to provide these students the greatest chance of employment possible. We want to be a solution provider for our students, for industry and for government. We want to keep these students on their path to employment and as a result continue to address the skills shortage issue impacting so many industries across our economy.
“We appreciate the difficult situation students are facing and want to provide our support, so we encourage all affected students to register their interest.”
