Facebook executive to address Australia’s first Fitness Technology Summit

Justin Tamsett, founder of the Fitness Industry Technology Summit, has announced that Facebook executive Katie Forcey will be the opening keynote speaker at the upcoming event.

Welcoming Forcey, Facebook’s Health and Wellness Client Partner lead in Australia and New Zealand, to the program, Tamsett advised “when you think of technology, you think of Facebook so (it was) important that Facebook was represented at the Summit.

“We didn't want a self-proclaimed expert to speak on Facebook ads, as the platform offers so much more.  We really felt that someone from the mothership would give the best overview of the capabilities of the platform.”

In her presentation, Harness the power of Facebook to amplify your brand and grow your business, Forcey will examine the amplification of brands and how to grow a business using Facebook’s family of apps and services (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger).

She will touch on fitness trends observed on the platforms, include examples of the best content out there, explore the latest and greatest thinking from their strategy and creative teams, and offer tips and tricks to nurture and connect with businesses with customers, both existing and new.

Tamsett added “delegates will leave the session with a view on how to use Facebook’s services to be a more efficient and effective marketer, giving insights into how to make your dollars work harder for you.”

Forcey joins nine other technology experts who will be speaking at the inaugural event in Sydney on 25th and 26th July.

Together, they will be covering digital marketing, accounting, the future of search and using data for best business decisions.

In addition, there are industry specific speakers who will share best business practices based on data gathered.

Looking forward to the event, Tamsett concludes “every session has been designed to improve the efficiencies and effectiveness of your fitness business.  And when you do this, you will improve profitability and even give yourself more time off.”

Registrations for the Summit close this Thursday.
