An exciting long-term commercial opportunity to work in partnership with Te Poari o Kaipātiki ki Kaipara (Te Poari) to develop a unique thermal water offering in one of the fastest growing regions in Auckland, just 40 minutes from the CBD, is now taking expressions of interest.

Te Poari is looking for a genuine development partner who shares their values and is excited by the opportunity to co-design something truly unique that embraces and breathes life to Kaipātiki’s history while also creating a sustainable and environmentally considerate business opportunity. 

Te Awa Kahawai (the Parakai geothermal reservoir) is a relatively small, low temperature reservoir (23-65°C).

The current lease area is approximately 2.3 hectares and contains a variety of assets, including:

• Thermal pools
• Office and administration block
• Changing rooms. 

Additional land could be made available for the right offering.

The current lease expires in 2026. Development opportunities could include an accommodation offering that supports the thermal attraction and also the thriving recreation offerings of the Kaipara region and makes Kaipātiki a true destination.
