ExerciseNZ releases guidelines on management of unsupervised fitness facilities
Following on from the successful recent release of its Health and Safety Considerations Guide, the Exercise Association of New Zealand has issued new guidelines for managing unsupervised fitness facilities.
In response to requests from the industry, ExerciseNZ’s Unsupervised Exercise Facility Guidelines present a range of information on operating an unsupervised exercise facility spaces covering 24/7 facilities, as well as those that have a exercise space that has periods of no supervision.
The guide has been developed to list the various areas that need to be considered when operating such an exercise space, as well as providing guidance as to where to get further information from in relation to occupational health and safety information and the Accident Compensation Corporation.
This resource is available for free to Exercise Association of NZ members and can be obtained by emailing: info@exercisenz.org.nz
