Events to attract visitors to the Coffs Coast

Showcasing the enormous variety of festivals, events and celebrations taking place on the Coffs Coast on the North Coast of NSW is the focus of a major campaign aimed at driving overnight visitation to the destination in the lead up to spring.

Introducing a series of events being held between July and October, Coffs Coast Tourism  Marketing Manager Nicole Moore stated that the town is offering “a blend of events that appeal to gourmands, adrenalin-seekers and culture buffs will be staged against the stunning backdrop of Coffs Coast.

“To offer visitors the ultimate spring holiday - where memories are made, the region has come together with over 20 events, accommodation deals and flight specials for travel between July and October 2015. Some of the international world class events in the Spring calendar include the Australian Surfing Festival, the International Buskers Festival, the National Off-Shore Super powerboats and the enormously popular World Rally and Australian Rally Championships.”

Visitors are invited to spring into Coffs Coast for the following events:

• Coates Australia, World Rally Championships
• Woolgoolga CurryFest
• Bellingen Music Festival
• International Buskers Festival
• Adventurethon
• National Junior Oztag Championships
• Dorrigo Folk & Bluesgrass Festival
• Macbeth, ballet, art exhibitions and many more

Moore added “for year-ending December 2014, Coffs Coast received over 1.7 million domestic and international visitors, with festivals and events being an essential element to the regions diverse visitor appeal.”

The national campaign valued at over $500,000, warming up the end of winter and highlighting the spring season is supported by Destination NSW, Wotif, Legendary Pacific Coast, Virgin Australia, Qantaslink and Tigerair along with a spectacular line up of events on Coffs Coast.
