eResponse Group unveils eResponse Crowd Safety Australia
eResponse Group, a UK-based training and recruitment specialist, has announced that it has exported its pioneering crowd safety training to Australia.
The award-winning business, which has gone on to have six branches and training centres in the UK since it was founded in 2003, has opened eResponse Crowd Safety Australia - based in the Sydney suburb of Epping.
The new Australian division will be headed up by experienced security and crowd management experts Jim and Tara Fidler, who will work closely with eResponse’s Crowd Safety Director, UK-based Andy Hollinson.
Announcing the launch of eResponse Crowd Safety Australia, Hollison stated “we have seen a superb response to the crowd safety training that we’ve offered across the world since last year.
“Establishing and investing into a permanent base in Australia is a natural step forward for us, especially after building such strong links there through our partnership with Jim and Tara. Both are widely respected in the industry and will help drive our growth in a new market.
“It’s an exciting time to launch eResponse Crowd Safety Australia and we are delighted to be leading the way.”
Hollinson added that eResponse Crowd Safety Australia will offer a full range of crowd safety qualifications such as Front of Stage Pit Operations, Event Security Operations (ESO) and also Stewarding for Event Staff. eResponse will also offer its new Level 5 Diploma in Crowd Science and Risk Analysis - the only training firm in the world to offer the qualification.
The Level 5 Diploma in Crowd Science and Risk Analysis is a three-day course for people who design, plan and manage the movement of people in sport, entertainment, shopping and transport environments.
Their crowd safety division works with a variety of event organisers, police forces and sports stadium operators to deliver training to staff in crowd management, security and event planning.
eResponse Group was formed by brothers Paul and Joe Alekna in 2003 and employs 100 people in the UK with main offices in Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire.
Jim Fidler has over 25 years’ experience in security and crowd management. Originally with the Metropolitan Police in London, he has planned and delivered security for some of Australia’s highest profile events and mass gatherings.
In 2012, he held the role of venue security manager for LOCOG and in 2014 was the spectator safety manager for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Tara Fidler has been involved in crowd management since 2000, advising on events across Australia.
