Enchanted Kingdom to launch new ‘flying theatre’

Philippines amusement park Enchanted Kingdom has announced that it will open its most ambitious project to-date, the AGILA Flying Theatre in June next year.

Set to offer the largest screen in South East Asia and the latest immersive 4-D motion theatre technology, AGILA will present the Philippines in a seven-minute film that simulates an interactive flying experience with astonishingly clear high definition 6K cinematography.

AGILA also reinforces Enchanted Kingdom’s commitment to preserving the natural wonder and beauty of the Philippines, by highlighting the need to protect the Agila, the Philippine Eagle.

Linked to the creation of the attraction, Enchanted Kingdom has partnered with the Philippine Eagle Foundation to protect and preserve the Great Philippine Eagle, a symbol of the nation.

Custom designed for the park by SimEx-Iwerks, the AGILA Flying Theatre will be designed around the new patented SkyRide system.

Enchanted Kingdom is the Philippines' first and only world class theme park. Composed of seven meticulously themed zones about different places and times in history, over 20 million guests have gone through EK's gates over the past 20 years.

As it enters into a new decade, Enchanted Kingdom is embarking into an expansion and redevelopment plan that aims to transform the park from a stand-alone theme park attraction into a family destination resort complete with retail, dining and entertainment, convention and hotel facilities and a waterpark.

SimEx-Iwerks is a world leader in cinematic attractions specializing in designing and building 3-D, 4-D, 5-D, 6-D Ride and Simulation Experiences.
