Dreamworld announces summer entertainment and new rollercoaster name

Dreamworld has announced its summer activations taking place from 26th December 2020 and 10 January 2021.

The Gold Coast theme park's main new summer entertainment will be Monster Trucks, taking place in a purpose-built outdoor arena.

Looking forward to the performances, which will run for approximately 15 minutes, Monster Trucks Director, Clive Featherby stated "we’ve performed all over the world but this will be our very first time performing at a theme park – we can’t wait to show Dreamworld’s guests what our trucks are made of and give them an unforgettable show this summer.”

The performances will be action-packed and offer a fun experience for guests of all age groups. Show duration will be approximately 15 minutes and will be a unique addition to the park’s offering.

Dreamworld Chief Operating Officer, Greg Yong added “Dreamworld already offers guests such a great range of experiences and we can’t wait to offer one more these summer holidays.

"We know both our local and interstate guests are keen to get out and enjoy the Gold Coast this summer and we look forward to welcoming them to the show."

Dreamworld and WhiteWater World are busy preparing for the summer school holidays. Across the two parks, over 160 casual positions have been created for the summer season, contributing to the local economy, and offering valuable employment experiences to Gold Coast residents.

Dreamworld has also announced that its new Triple Launch Coaster, set to open in 2021, will be known as the Steel Taipan.
