Dragon's Kingdom launched at Perth's Adventure World
Adventure World introduced a new enchanted land of fun for children when it opened its doors for its 30th anniversary season.
The Perth amusement park's new 'Dragon's Kingdom' is themed with medieval castles, oversized flowers, baby dragons and fairies along with established childrens' rides as well as two new ones.
Characters in the Dragon's Kingdom include Yarli the dragon, Flossy the Fairy and their cute and colourful friends. Children can share the adventures of Yarli and friends as they meet knights and princesses, play pirates and enact fairytales in the kingdom.
The opening of Dragon's Kingdom on on 27th September brought two new rides for young families to Adventure World. Families can ride brightly coloured jeeps at 'Yarli's Safari' and travel in the spinning barrels of 'Yarli's Barrel Spin'.
The attracrtion also offers families the opportunity to beat the summer heat by splashing and squirting their friends at 'Kingdom Falls' (pictured below) and paddling with the fairies in the stream at the bottom of the garden in the 'Fairy Palace Pond'.
Adventure World General Manager Mark Shaw explains "we are delighted to bring yet another themed attraction to Western Australia's visitors and local community for the fourth year running.
"There are now more dedicated experiences for young adventurers than ever before at Adventure World, and perhaps best of all, children under four years old enter for free!"
The new medieval themed Dragon's Kingdom is adjacent to the Hawaiian themed heart of the park and Australia's largest rain fortress, Kahuna Falls, that were introduced last year. Kahuna Café and Western Australia's only Domino's2Go! Pizza outlet are back this season together with a new cafeteria-style outlet, 'Dragons' Bites', and additional service point 'Dragon's Nibbles'.
The Aussie Wildlife Experience is now home to new arrivals, including Lucy the rare cross-breed llalpaca and new koala and kangaroo joeys born this winter that join the koalas, wombat, kangaroos, emus and dingos, who are all firm favourites with visitors.
Adventure World is also a 'venue champion' of the SunSafe SunSound campaign, giving visitors an hourly audio cue in the heat of the day to remember to reapply suncream.
The park now offers even more shaded areas than before and is fully covered by qualified lifeguards.
