Destination Australia Conference returns with Chinese tourism focus
After a highly successful inaugural event in 2015 attended by more than 340 tourism professionals, the 2016 Destination Australia Conference will be held in Sydney on Wednesday 16th March, followed by a half day 'China Uncovered' conference on Thursday 17th March.
The conference, targeted at tourism businesses marketing Australia to international leisure and business travellers, will focus on how Australia can attract more high-yielding international visitors to grow its tourism industry.
New in 2016, the event will include a second half day 'China Uncovered' conference focusing on how Australia can make the most of the rise of Chinese tourism to Australia.
The first full day of the conference, to be held at Sydney’s The Star, will include inspiring presentations from a range of experts from the Australian and international tourism industry. Topics will explore:
• What’s the outlook for tourism?
• How are consumers changing?
• Inspiring and converting international travellers
• Delivering on the promise
• Nurturing loyal, passionate advocates
The second half day conference, at Doltone House, Jones Bay Wharf, Sydney, will focus on how we can make the most of the rise of Chinese tourism to Australia. Topics will explore:
• The outlook for China
• Insights to the Chinese traveller
• Engaging Chinese travellers directly
• Reaching Chinese travellers through trade partners
• Delivering great experiences for Chinese travellers
